I’ve never tasted chocolate babka before, and I probably won’t have the chance to savor it again because Bakey’s chocolate babka was absolutely heavenly! Every time I tried it, it was piping hot and fresh, and the flavor was exceptional. I even bought one to take home with me, sliced it, and stored it in the freezer. When I reheated it in my toaster oven, it came pretty close to the fresh experience. The cinnamon babka was also superb! In addition to these delightful pastries, they also offer olives, marinated red onions, cream cheese, fish spread, and a variety of other delectable items. I’ve even considered buying the chef’s cookbook to attempt making these treats at home, although I’m certain it won’t quite match the real thing. I truly wish I lived closer; Bakey, please come to California!

Babka, baby!! I visited around 12:30 pm today, which happened to be Valentine’s Day and a Tuesday. Surprisingly, there was no line at all. When I approached the counter and inquired about slices of chocolate babka (I needed two), the staff member mentioned they were preparing a fresh batch, which wouldn’t be ready for a while. Unfortunately, I had to return to work and couldn’t wait. However, she kindly offered to cut into one of the loaves on display, and I happily agreed. She sliced the loaf in half, placed each slice into a bag, and promptly rang me up, all in under 5 minutes. I was delighted by the helpful and efficient service! As for the babka itself—SIMPLY THE BEST. It wasn’t dry, had just the right amount of chocolate, and featured perfect layers and flavor. The quality was truly unparalleled, and I regret not buying the entire loaf just for myself!

Wow, wow, wow. After receiving two strong recommendations from friends (who aren’t typically food enthusiasts), I finally made my way to this establishment. Now, it’s a must-visit whenever I’m in Boston Commons. Everything I sampled here was nothing short of incredible. I purchased the chocolate babka loaf ($16), and it was sheer perfection. It arrived fresh and warm, with a delightful contrast between the crisp, glazed exterior and the warm, fluffy, pillowy interior, not to mention the delectable chocolate filling. This is undeniably the best babka I’ve ever had, and perhaps even the best sweet bread or pastry I’ve ever tasted. My friend and I devoured the entire loaf in one sitting. While the price may seem a bit steep, I’d rather pay for their expertise than attempt an inferior version at home (and confront the staggering amount of butter required). Enjoying this babka in the store made for an unforgettable experience. I also ordered the cheese stick bread ($3.75), which was everything I could have hoped for in a savory bread—crispy cheese, soft and chewy bread, and delightful flavor. It was fantastic. I also sampled their complimentary bread, which was freshly baked, chewy, and delightful.

Without a doubt, the best babka I’ve ever tasted. I had no idea that babka could be this good. I particularly adore the chocolate and chocolate banana babka. The Mediterranean version, which leans more toward a “savory” profile rather than sweet, isn’t my favorite, but it’s still nice. Other outstanding items include the incredible cheese stick, the goat cheese croissant, and the potato burekas. I’m not as keen on the spinach bureka, but it’s still good. I thoroughly enjoy the muesli rolls and the challah, especially when they’re sprinkled with sesame seeds.

I stumbled upon this place randomly while searching for parking near the Common. Someone was offering samples, so I decided to give it a try. I believe it was a babka, and it was delicious. I ended up ordering a raspberry babka and a large cookie. The raspberry babka was incredibly fluffy, light, and bursting with flavor. The cookie, surprisingly thin, was incredibly soft and tasted like it had just come out of the oven. I would certainly recommend this place and return for more.
